They do very well in both, but much better when combined with wrestling and BJJ.
Well Anderson Silva is mainly Muay Thai and I think he is doing pretty damn well in MMA
They do pretty good in both situations.
I prefer Japanese Jujitsu for a street fight. Japanese Jujitsu is a little too violent for modern sports, which is why it lost favor in Japan last century in favor of Judo, which did very well against Jujitsu within the confines of the rules for the martial art matches of the day. BJJ comes from Judo, otherwise known as Kana Jujitsu.
Thai Kickboxers are all around pretty badass, on the street or in the ring. My old martial arts teacher who used to be a Thai Kickboxer himself used to give a warning though. He said that kickboxers who compete in the ring often have short careers due to the high rate of injury in the ring.
they would do very well, anybody who is a trained full contact fighter will do well in a street fight, MMA especially because they are trained in all aspects of fighting, striking, wrestling, submissions, ect ect. and they are top physical condition.
Good, and not so good.
