i’ve been really interested in mma for a while now but have been plagued by injuries just had shoulder reconstruction so haven’t been able to start.i am 17 have no previous martial arts experience but played contact sport (rugby) all my life . i was just wondering if it would be a good idea to start mma once my shoulder is recovered or not to risk it?

1) Pankration would not be a new sport as it’s under the control of the Wrestling federation for the Olympics. Instead would be a new discipline which means Greco-Roman wrestling may have to be removed.
2) It was part of the Ancient Olympics and would be a great tribute to bring back one of the worlds oldest forms of mixed martial arts.
3)Adding this form of a combat sport would meet an IOC requirement that sports should have an appeal especially among younger demographics.

I am currently in wrestling and I love fighting as a sport but can’t really afford a MMA schools or anything like that. I need the very basics. Wrestling is very different, so i need stance work, footwork work, all that good stuff. I have gloves a punching bag and a friend who wants to learn too. So any help is appreciated.

I have a really high kick and alot of anger. This martial arts booth that were giving free lessons at a fair said I had so much potential and that I should consider joining. I know there is lots of martial arts like karate, tai kwon do, judo etc so which one do you guys recommend?

I mean actual fights to the death, not video game competitions.
But as a second question, what about video game competitions?
