At the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo in Long Beach, California, a super fight was held between black belt Kyra Gracie and MMA bantamweight Alexis Davis. Davis, a brown belt under Cesar Gracie, made multiple armbar attempts, but was unable to submit Gracie. Kyra Gracie would go on to win the match on points.
